Darin and Charlotte were great. We sailed from Noank to Fishers Island on a 2 hour charter. Darin played guitar whe we ate lobster rolls and drank champagne. We saw seals and the coast I grew up onWonderful time. We most highly recommend sailing the Poets Lounge!

Wow like even better than we imagined! Best New England summer afternoon. Being on Poet’s Lounge was like having one of my nicest friends invite me to sail on his boat. One couldn’t ask for a more skilled, attentive, and easy going host. When the weather looked bad before our trip, Darin adjusted the schedule. So glad too cause he took us to such a beautiful swimming spot! Even had a noodle for chilling in the water. The comfy cushions, Bluetooth speaker, local tips, even binoculars for a seal sighting, were all pleasant surprises. Although a private sailing charter is luxurious, Poet’s Lounge is relaxing and we felt right at home from the start (almost fell asleep a few times.) My mom is fit but older. We both appreciated that Darin was thoughtful and sensitive about her age, without making a big deal out of it. She had the best time. Even the ride back was especially fun as Darin played some really great music on his Bluetooth speaker. Gonna need to do this every summer. Maybe a girl’s trip on the New London boat!

Darren took us and another couple out for a sunset cruise and it was amazing. Darren even broke out the guitar and harmonica and it was the most romantic scenic thing. Would absolutely recommend!

We chartered two sail boats with Darin and his team to celebrate our sister’s bachelorette! Darin was incredibly diligent about checking the weather to ensure we had clear skies up until an hour before our reservation.We highly recommend Darin and his team for an afternoon on the water. We enjoyed incredibly smooth sailing paired with our BYO drink and picnic while anchoring just off Fishers Island. This boating experience was the highlight of our weekend. Thank you, Darin!

Captain’s Darin and Charlotte were awesome. So down to earth and personable. They also have the cutest dog who kept us company. The boat was comfortable and the perfect size for a 6 person group. They were nice enough to let us bring snacks and drinks. Fairly priced and an overall great experience. Highly recommend!! 10/10 😁

3 ladies from Arizona took a trip in September to Mystic. We chartered this sailboat and we enjoyed every minute of it. Captain Darrin was super nice and accommodating. We had nice conversation, a few drinks, birthday cupcake and enjoyed the ride into the evening.

If you’re looking for an incredibly peaceful and relaxing day on the water, this is definitely the way to go. Darin did everything to make sure the trip out was comfortable and when waters were calm he even serenaded our group with a few songs, a treat that we didn’t expect. Would most definitely do it all over again

We sailed from Noank to Watch Hill, RI with Captain Dan & first mate Chris. It was an excellent time! On our way back we anchored in a cove to go for a swim and enjoy our wine & cheese that we brought. Highly recommend!

What an unforgettable experience! Our crew loved our time on the water with Darin. He was an excellent host, wonderful to chat with and very attentive when he realized one of us was feeling seasick. Two of us had been out with him before for a sunset cruise and we upped it to 3 hrs this time. Truly a great experience - highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had two great charters with Darin on the Poets Lounge Charter this July. Darin is an excellent sailor and found great winds to move the boat at 8 knots across the Fisher Island Sound. Both times near the end of our short charters we were one of only boats in the Sound. The trips made a great afternoon for our guests and us.Darin has had gigs as a singer/songwriter playing several venues in the area for over 15 years. On our trips, he brought his guitar and harmonica and shared several great covers from the Dead and the Beatles.We can’t think of a better way to spend part of your day in southeastern Connecticut then on a charter with Darin or one of his captains.

Darin was THE BEST. My girlfriend rented his charter for my birthday and it was a remarkable experience. We took 2 hours and we’re able to sail from CT to NY to RI and back seeing some beautiful homes and coastline along the way. Darin was a delight to talk to, and it was amazing seeing him work the mechanics of the ship. I’d highly recommend his charter for any special occasion, or even a fun thing to do while in the area. We will definitely be going back and recommending it to everyone!!

If you're looking to get on the water this summer, this is IT. I have been on multiple charters with Poet's Lounge and each time has been absolutely unforgettable. Captain Keech knows the waters like the back of his hand! He and Dawn are the salt of the earth and booking a charter with them is honestly worth it just for the company. They know the best spots in town for food and going out too, so you'll always leave with some great recos. Darin Keech also plays music locally and if you have the time, it's something you won't want to miss. If you're nervous about being on the water, you will feel so comfortable on this boat! Generous space, great people, and definitely an unmissable experience!

The added bonus was when he played us some songs on his guitar, what a talent! 😃 I highly recommend Poet's Lounge, and can't wait to go again, we had a blast!

The Poets Lounge charter was such a magical experience for my husband and I. Darin and his wife Dawn were amazing. Their knowledge of the area and the history is great!!We saw the full moon rise and the setting of the sun and some seals hanging out by the lighthouse. The water was calm and soothing.I recommend this to anyone who loves the ocean and sailing, and even if you’ve never sailed or been on a boat. You will feel safe while the captain takes the reigns.Our coastline and bays are so gorgeous anytime of year.It was truly magical.Thanks Darin and Dawn!

This was a great experience! I wanted to surprise my husband with a special birthday gift and booked Poets Lounge for an afternoon. My husband is not much of a sailor and often prone to seasickness but did great. The waters of Fishers Island’s Sound are not only breathtaking and scenic but calm. Captain Darin is an excellent sailor and also an excellent musician and played guitar for us. Just a perfect way to celebrate!

This was the highlight of our trip to Mystic. I originally booked a much larger group tour where I would have sat on a wooden bench with a backrest, but changed my mind due to covid to be with fewer people. We were so happy with our choice! This is a whole different league compared to a group tour that is more of a river cruise than actually sailing at sea. We assumed we wouldn't have much of a sunset due to all the clouds, but we were able to sail away from clouds and had gorgeous views.The boat experience was lovely and so relaxing. Darin is a pro and this felt more like a friend invited us to join him on his boat. He filled us in on everything we were seeing, landmarks, houses, and even seal pups! This was a no stress tour where we sat in comfortable seats, drank some spiked lemonade with cup holders and gazed out at majestic sunset views.I can't wait to bring my kids when they are older for an entire day sail to hit up some beaches too.I can't thank Darin enough for allowing others to join him on this experience.
